Hello and thank you so much for visiting my blog! My name is Sandra Garcia. I have been a Spanish Bilingual Kindergarten Teacher for 9 years. I have my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and my passion is bilingual education. I am currently in the process of writing the Spanish Curriculum for my district. I am also pleased to have been selected as a lead trainer for our new Science program.
I am married to the most wonderful man in the world and have three wonderful children, one boy and two girls. I am so excited to announce the engagement of my son!! I have gained another daughter!!
My vision for this blog is for it to be a collaborative blog where guest bloggers will be invited to discuss and share their expertise and ideas about early childhood education as well Spanish phonics and phonemic awareness. Being a Spanish teacher, I understand the struggles of not having materials, not having a team to "bounce ideas off of", and being an "island". I'm sure that many of you are in the same boat and understand those struggles as well! I would love for this to be a place to come and share ideas and support each other, for the better of our students....because ultimately, we do all we do for them!
